We have incorporated reminiscence therapy, excellent for helping to cope with stress. We use reminiscence to Inspire mental stimulation and then add mild exercise, arts and crafts activities in our beautiful secure garden patio area.

What is Reminiscence Therapy?
Reminiscence Therapy is the process of recollecting memories from the past. For people with Alzheimer’s disease encouraging this type of therapy can be highly beneficial. Reminiscence therapy is useful in reducing stress and depression. Anything that stimulates good memories from the past can be used for instance photographs or music. Family members can help by bringing in the residents favorite childhood foods or even playing music that stimulates past memories can be highly beneficial.
